The Highlight of my Blue Danube River Cruise

What an exciting ending to a wonderful trip. Once we disembarked the river boat we traveled to Prague and had an enchanting dinner at the Nelahozeves Castle, It was charming from the minute we stepped into the courtyard of the Castle and were greeted by vintage dressed ladies. Once inside, we were greeted by the owner of the castle, Prince William Lobkowicz-- a grandson of exciled Czech aristocrats. It was just a magicical evening- we had a most perfect dinner as chamber music was plalyed in the background.

The next day was even better!! We went to the Prague Castle District to the Lobkowicz Palace, once again greeted by Prince William and introduced to David Krol, Deputy Director & Director of Visitor Services for THE PRINCELY COLLECTIONS which are elegently displayed in the Lobkowicz Palace. The very best Museum in all of Prague and the veal soup in the cafe I can highly recommend. Just a wonderful experience.

In August 2007 The Smithsonian magazine did an article on Prince William Lobkowicz and all that he had accomplished in such a short amount of time and I can see why---All on our trip were duly impressed and enjoyed so much seeing the art and castle and palace restored in such a magnificent manner!!

Cheers to the Prince, his wife Alexandra, David, and all of
their staff for the great effort they have put into restoring the Lobkowicz belongings. Linnie Donnelly
